Manual Transmission Sports Cars
An alarming rate of manual gear changes is currently going extinct. In Europe, sports vehicles and some entry-level models still come with the option of a manual transmission. Only a small percentage of cars sold in the US come standard with a manual transmission, and even fewer models offer it as an option.
Until the 1980s, when the automatic gearbox gained popularity in certain segments and provided greater performance and economy, the manual transmission remained the most popular option for sports cars, European sports coupes/sedans, and economical cars. The torque-converter, multi-clutch, sequential automatic, and semi-automatic transmissions have replaced the manual gearbox in many sports cars and supercars that used to utilise manual transmissions in the 1990s and the early 2000s.
The Toyota Supra will soon get a manual transmission! Although many contend that this should have been an option from the start, we are nonetheless happy that Toyota has followed through. Strangely, only the 3.0-liter straight-six will have a manual transmission option; the 2.0-liter four will only have an automatic.
The automobile has had numerous modifications as a result of the manual conversion, including a new suspension system and interior changes. A new A91-MT special edition, of which only 500 will be made available for the US market, is also included in the manual edition. Even though the Supra still has a lot of problems, the manual Supra shows that Toyota has paid attention to its followers. This is a positive move. Late is better than never.
The next BMW M2 has been spotted in testing, and BMW has confirmed that a manual transmission will be available for the vehicle. The spy pictures reveal broader wheel arches, quad tailpipes, and a new front grille, all of which show that the body has altered significantly from the standard 2-Series and even the M240i.
Before everything switches to electric, the M2 will probably be the final tiny, straight-six-powered BMW model with a manual transmission.
Additionally, according to a report, the M2 will only be available as a manual in North America, continuing the existing practice among BMW M-cars.

Recently unveiled, the new Porsche 911 Sport Classic is incredibly stunning. The Sport Classic is a unique version of the 911 that, as is customary, incorporates some of the best features from the most recent model while also incorporating certain stylistic cues from the past to evoke some fond memories.
The 1973 911 Carrera RS-inspired ducktail spoiler, unique wheels, expanded body of the Turbo, and 3.7-liter flat-6 engine with 542 horsepower are all features of the 992 911 Sport Classic, which only transmits power to the rear wheels using Porsche's 7-speed manual transmission. Honda Civic Type R
As Honda has confirmed, they will display the prototype car at the 2022 IndyCar 200 in July, and the revelation of the new sixth-generation Honda Civic Type R is quickly approaching. The new Type R will most likely be powered by an evolution of the K20 2.0-liter turbocharged i4 engine from the previous generation. This means at least 300 hp and a 6-speed manual, with power going to the front wheels only. The new Type R has so far been shown to be the best yet, doing away with the over-styling that the previous two generations have been criticized for.

The Mini Cooper S has a 2.0-liter turbocharged i4 engine that generates 190 horsepower and 207 lb.-ft of torque. It is paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DCT. While the standard i30 N will continue to have a 6-speed manual transmission for the foreseeable future, the N-Drive Limited Edition will only be offered with 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine in the i30 N generates 273 horsepower, all of which is sent to the front wheels solely.
