Upcoming Audi 2023 Models

authorBy Avinaba

The 2023 Audi vehicle portfolio has "continuous progress" as its central focus. Even on vehicles that only made their debut a year ago, the brand adds a few upgrades to its entire lineup. Minor feature, package, or style changes make up most of the updates. Although that applies to the S6 and S7, these sporty Audis also receive an engine redesign that should result in a more lively performance but bear in mind that some of the features listed below could not be readily available due to supply chain issues.

2023 Audi A3, S3, and RS3: What Has Changed?

Audi's smallest vehicle receives a few upgrades for 2023 following a recent thorough redesign.

All audi A3 models now come standard with full LED lighting and soft-touch armrests. Extended interior ambient lighting and gray wood trim are included on the Premium Plus trim level. 18-inch two-tone wheels are included when the A3 Black Optic Sport option is selected.

Pros.Cons.
  • Fuel-efficient standard drivetrain.
  • Few pay-per-use and few standard driver aids.
  • Fashionable exterior and interior design.
  • More lavish in appearance than in feeling.

The Convenience bundle includes a wireless device charging pad for the Audi S3 and A3. Audi offers adaptive cruise control as an on-demand addition to the Premium trim, illustrating a problematic method that automakers are eager to use but that drivers are reluctant to invest in. The snarling, sporty RS3, which made its debut in late 2022 following the introduction of the A3, remains unchanged.

2023 Audi A4, S4, and A4 Allroad: What Has Changed?

The Audi A4 and S4 Allroad receive new LED headlights in 2023. A Bang & Olufsen audio system becomes standard on the Premium Plus grade. Exhaust tips, mirror housings, spoilers, badges, and other black trim components make up the Black Optic Plus package, which is an option for the A4, Allroad, and Audi S4.

Pros.Cons.
  • A cozy, cutting-edge, and opulent interior.
  • Rather dull driving experience.
  • Fast as usual, much faster in S4 guise.
  • The S4's non-linear brake feel makes driving sporty difficult.

Adaptive cruise control is currently part of the convenience package available for the A4 and S4. An Audi Sport interior package adds red upholstery stitching and carbon-fiber trim panels to the S4 Premium Plus and Prestige trim levels. Quantum Gray, Terra Gray, and Turbo Blue are no longer available as exterior color options; District Green and Chronos Gray are.

2023 Audi A5, S5, and RS5: What Has Changed?

Audi updates the A5's LED headlights and 18-inch wheels for 2023. A Bang & Olufsen audio system is now standard on the Audi A5 and S5 Premium Plus trim, while adaptive cruise control is a feature of the Convenience package, which is an add-on. The Audi S5 can also be ordered with the Audi Sport interior kit, which includes carbon fiber trim panels and red contrast upholstery stitching.

Sporty S Line external design accents, illuminated door sills, gray oak wood trim panels, and sport front seats come standard on the open-top A5 Cabriolet. The A5 and S5's exterior is darkened with the Black Optic Plus package, which adds black finishing to the emblems, exhaust tips, rear spoiler, and other areas.

Pros.
Cons.
  • Sportback models are surprisingly roomy and useful.
  • Desirable driving aids is not included as standard.
  • Excellent RS5 performs practically all tasks with ease.
  • Excessive tire noise, particularly in models of Sportback

On the A5 and S5, Quantum Gray paint has been replaced with Chronos Gray paint. Ascari Blue, previously seen on the RS5 Launch Edition, replaces Sonoma Green and Turbo Blue as a standard color choice for the RS5.

Audi introduces a Competition package for the 2023 RS5, stealing a keyword from its rival BMW. The engine's top speed increases to 180 mph even if its output stays the same at 444 horsepower. The combination of a custom exhaust system and less soundproofing results in more noise and less weight. A manually adjustable coil-over suspension that may decrease the ride height by up to 20mm improves the chassis. Further enabling Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, stiffer anti-roll bars, a quicker steering ratio, and an upgraded rear differential promise sportier handling. For quicker stopping distances, the ABS system has been tweaked and carbon brake rotors have been installed. With its scarlet, carbon fiber, and blacked-out trim elements, the RS5 Competition sticks out.

2023 Audi A6, S6, and RS6: What Has Changed?

Convenience package selection on the A6's base Premium variant now includes adaptive cruise control with lane keep assist. A semi-autonomous parking system becomes standard on the pricey Prestige model. The Audi RS6 and A6 Allroad wagon premium variants both come with a black headliner option.

Pros.
Cons.
  • Superior materials and quality.
  • A dull exterior design.
  • Ample standard technology.
  • Features that assist drivers could be improved.

A revised engine is added to the athletic 2023 S6. It still has a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine that generates 444 horsepower, but it now has a so-called electric-powered compressor that employs a tiny motor-driven turbine to develop turbo boost more quickly and improve throttle response. As the most affordable way to acquire an S6, a new Premium trim is also released. The Premium Plus trim, on the other hand, adds heated back seats, more driver assistance technologies, and extended interior leather.

For the S6, numerous packages have been upgraded and added. The Executive option adds extended interior ambient lighting, lane keep assist, a power-operated trunk, and adaptive cruise control. Red accents appear inside the vehicle thanks to a new Audi Sport stitching kit. The new S6 Design Edition, which comes in the unique Arrow Gray paint, also has such touches. Regardless of the shade picked, the S6 Design Edition features a black roof, brake calipers painted in red, 21-inch wheels, and dark chrome exterior trim accents.

2023 Audi A7, S7, and RS7: What Has Changed?

By selecting the Convenience option, the 2023 A7 Premium variant gains adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. The Prestige grade now comes standard with a remote parking device.

Audi combines the S Line and Black Optic kits, which were formerly offered separately, to enhance the A7's athletic appearance.

Pros.
Cons.
  • Technologically advanced interior.
  • Pervasive resonating noises.
  • Swift seven, ballistic seven.
  • Standard driving aids are few.

The 2023 S7's updates are similar to those made to the 2023 S6. An electronic compressor helps the twin-turbo V-6 respond more quickly. There is now a base Premium trim option. Extended leather, ambient lighting, heated back seats, and more driver assistance technology are included in the Premium Plus model. Red upholstery stitching and other accents are now included in the Audi Sport stitching package, which is a new offering.

As part of the Executive option, a black fake leather headliner and remote parking capabilities are now available for the powerful RS7

2023 Audi A8 and S8: What Has Changed?

The A8 sees little changes for 2023 following its makeover in 2022. Now included in the Comfort Plus option are updated LED headlights.

Pros.
Cons.
  • Excellent riding quality with available adjustable suspension.
  • Resembles an extended A3.
  • Excellent workmanship and close attention to detail.
  • S8's steering is too light.

A remote parking system is part of the Executive package on the A8 and S8. High-end leather upholstery with geometric contrast stitching is available for the S8.

2023 Audi R8: What Has Changed?

Details about the 2023 R8 have not yet been released by Audi.

Pros.
Cons.
Ultimate source of double takes.
Clumsy infotainment system.
Simple, ordinary behavior.
Confined interior, and a little trunk.

We believe there are two likely scenarios: Either the R8 will be discontinued to make place for the long-rumored electric Audi supercar, or a high-performance special edition will be unveiled as a farewell model.

2023 Audi E-Tron GT: What Has Changed?

After making its premiere in 2022, the E-Tron GT will get a number of upgrades in 2023. The body-color grille treatment, which was formerly an option, is now required. 20-inch wheels with all-season tires and anti-theft bolts, a Bang & Olufsen audio system, an integrated toll transponder, and an additional charging port on the passenger side are now included as standard features. Summer tires, which were originally standard, are now included with the Performance package, which is an option. The Executive package includes heated rear seats and expanded interior ambient lighting. There is a new 21-inch wheel that is now available on the Prestige grade level.

Pros.
Cons.
  • Glances from the future.
  • It only handles OK.
  • Extremely quick acceleration.
  • Mediocre driving range.

The RS E-Tron GT also receives standard matte carbon-fiber inside trim in addition to the aforementioned upgrades. A new package of unique 21-inch wheels also includes a new carbon-ceramic brake option with calipers painted gray.

Editor’s Note

“All the details and images are based on Audi’s models from the previous year. We anticipate a comparable lineup for the 2023 modes, and once we receive all the details, we'll update the concerning areas.”

Audi ramps up for the 2023 model year with more standard equipment across its lineup of tech-forward luxury cars and SUVs, and a planned expansion of its E-Tron brand of electric vehicles.

Audi has been lobbying for matrix LED headlights for some time, and many 2023 Audis will come standard with adaptive matrix LED headlights thanks to U.S. regulators finally loosening an obscure rule dividing high beams from low beams. However, a spokesman from Audi informed us that the lights "are not operational at this moment" and that they don't have any further information at this time. While still illuminating the road and the sides of the road, this type of light design can turn off some LED cells to prevent blinding approaching drivers. When it spotted an oncoming car, the adaptive headlights' previous version would automatically turn off the high beams. The adaptive headlights with a matrix design can read the road and other vehicles better and change their projections accordingly.

In order to support its claim that it will have more battery electric vehicles on sale in the United States than any other luxury brand, Audi anticipates the Q4 and Q4 Sportback electric crossovers to go on sale later this year. That might include the R8 supercar's upcoming version. The entire federal tax credit of $7,500 is still applicable to Audi EVs.
