A Luxurious and Innovative Brand

Acura came into existence in the early 1980s when U.S. Automobile Market was initially producing the best of their innovations with limited resources. In the initial time, there were gas shortages, economic malaise, and imposition of new government regulations caused by understanding the current market status and public habits.

Acura is the luxury arm of a Japanese manufacturer known for its reliability, economical operation, and affordable pricing structure, making it stand out from the competition. Acura was launched on March 27, 1986, and started its operations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Kuwait.

They have previously sold cars in China, Hong Kong, Russia, and Ukraine and plan to introduce the brand in the Japanese Domestic market in the late 2000s. Acura was the first luxury division established by the Japanese Automaker and coincided with the introduction of the JDM Honda Dealership Sales Channel called Honda Cilo.

Acura was among the best-selling luxury brand in the United States. Brand sales decreased drastically in the mid to late 1990s due to the redesign and introduction of new models. In the late 1980s, the company’s first flagship vehicle came to the market, “The Legend,” inspired by fellow automakers Toyota Nissan to launch their luxury brands, Lexus and Infiniti.

In 1900, Acura NSX launched a mid-engine exotic sports car offering a reliable and practical exotic European sports car. The 1993 Legend Coupe first featured with six-speed manual transmission to Type II Engine. Acura produces the Type R version of its compact Integra, which features reduced curb weight with stiffer and lower suspension and delivers a high-output VTEC Engine.
