2022 Nissan Rogue
Pros | Cons | Verdict |
Durable design, capacious seats, cutting-edge interior, economical fuel usage, and heavy-duty. | The controls for the infotainment system are a bit fiddly and take quite some time to accelerate at highway speeds. The most appealing models come with high associated costs, subpar standard warranty coverage, and lackluster handling. | The Rogue is designed to be a significant hybrid, but the driving persona doesn't excite one enough. |
Does it have any competitors or rivals?

Which one do we recommend?
The SV model, which is priced midway, has the best set of characteristics for the price. Some of the highlights include 18-inch aluminum wheels, an eight-way power-adjustable 360-degree exterior camera system, and Nissan's ProPilot Assist semi-autonomous driving mode. The SV Premium option, which includes a panoramic sunroof, a power-operated rear liftgate, roof rails, and faux-leather upholstery, is also something we'd consider.
What about its availability?
The Nissan Rogue is currently available at all Nissan dealerships near you.
What about its performance and handling?
The only engine in the vehicle is a 1.5-liter three-cylinder with 201 horsepower, which is plenty for getting around the neighborhood. While it is more capable than the Rogue's previous four-cylinder engine, it can be difficult to accelerate to highway speeds or overtake other vehicles. The engine also drones during high acceleration. The continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) accurately replicates the shifts of a standard automatic transmission. It runs smoothly, though not necessarily evenly.
How utilitarian is it?
When properly equipped, this Nissan can carry up to 1,500 pounds.
How’s the interior?
Seating | Headroom without Moonroof, Front/Rear (Inches) | Legroom, Front/Rear (Inches) | Cargo Volume (Cubic Feet) |
5 | 41.1/43.3 | 41.5/38.5 | 37 |
Although there are some plastics in the basic trim, they have a high-quality look and feel. Higher trims offer opulent touches like wood embellishments. The cabin is posh in general.
Rich-looking design details such as thoughtful storage cubbies, a bi-level dashboard, and a squared-off shift knob boost practicality and give the interior a contemporary flare.
Cloth upholstery is normal, although the SV model may be ordered with optional faux-leather upholstery; the SL and Platinum Rogues come with real leather upholstery, the latter being a semi-aniline hide with quilted stitching.

Infotainment and connectivity
A touchscreen infotainment system is present right in the middle of the dashboard. While the 2022 Rogue comes standard with an 8.0-inch display, the SL and Platinum variants have a bigger 9.0-inch display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are the defaults, and high-end technologies like in-dash navigation and a Bose audio system are available as options. The Platinum model includes a 12.3-inch reconfigurable digital gauge cluster, a large 10.8-inch head-up display, and a wireless smartphone charging station.

How about the technology and features?
A 12.3-inch wide advanced completely digital meter display is provided below the head-up display on the instrument panel (a 7.0-inch center display replaces the previous 5.0-inch display on lower grades). The 12.3-inch and 7.0-inch meter displays are also completely customizable, allowing drivers to tailor the information and design to their tastes.
The middle of the large instrument panel has the third of three Rogue digital screens. A 9.0-inch "floating" touch screen delivers bright, clear visuals for navigation, audio, temperature information, RearView Monitor, and optional Intelligent Around View® Monitor. Rogue also has voice commands for switching between Google Maps and Waze to obtain their preferred view of route conditions or to avoid construction zones.

What warranty and safety does it offer?

Three years or 36,000 miles is guaranteed by the limited warranty.
A five-year or 60,000-mile powertrain warranty is included.
There is no complimentary organized service.
To assist it in contending with well-equipped rivals like the Toyota RAV4 and Subaru Forester, the 2022 Rogue comes standard with a slew of driver-assistance systems.
The Rogue SL will include Nissan's ProPilot Assist semi-autonomous driving mode as an option, and the Platinum will have it as standard. Visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites for more information on the Rogue's crash-test results.
